Please Note:

• Rubbish/Debris is not picked up the same week as recycling

• During the months (November thru March) rubbish/debris will be picked up by appointment only.  Please call (845) 359-1717 for an appointment.

• Household hazardous waste (paints, chemicals, etc) should be brought to the Rockland County Hazardous Waste Facility, Pomona, New York.  You may contact the Hazardous Waste facility by calling the hotline (845) 364-2444.  For more information visit  Rockland County Solid Waste Management Authority

• Yard waste must be put in Biodegradable bags only. (Plastic bags will not be accepted)

• Yard waste is recycled and will only be picked up the same day as Rubbish/Debris.

• All items that are discarded should be put out tied, bundled, or stacked in an orderly fashion.  Wood must be cut in lengths no longer than 5 feet.

• Rubbish and debris should be put out no earlier than the weekend before the scheduled pickup.  We ask that residents be sensitive in the timing of putting out debris for it affects the appearance of our Village.

• Contractors doing work in the Village must remove their own debris as per Village Code.

• Waste motor oil can be brought to the highway garage for proper disposal. (call 359-1717)

• Metal goods, car batteries, tires and brush are also acceptable materials. (Refrigerator doors must be removed)
