Garbage Removal 

•  Household garbage is picked up twice a week on Monday's and Friday's. We ask that garbage be put out curbside in garbage cans with lids or in plastic garbage bags to prevent loose garbage from littering village streets.

• Commercial garbage is not picked up by the Village Department of Public Works.

• As per Village Code garbage cans/containers should be removed from the curb or sidewalk area within (12) hours after collection and must be stored out of sight of curb, sidewalk or street until (12) hours before the next collection.

• Please refrain from putting rubbish and debris out with your household garbage.

• In the event that a scheduled garbage pickup falls on a Holiday the garbage pickup will be rescheduled to either Tuesday or Thursday. Please check this website , the Journal News or call the D.P.W. Garage at 359-1717 or the Village Hall at 359-1258 for schedule changes.
